Maui's Natural Wonders at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua
Children ages 5 through 12 explore Maui's natural wonders
in The Ritz Kids full-day and half-day recreation and education
programs. The young guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua
learn about Maui's magic with activities that are fun and
educational.

Each day includes swimming in the three-tiered pool and
a trip to D.T. Fleming Beach. Other special highlights include
playing on the 9-hole putting green and croquet lawn, arts
and crafts, games and story-telling in the private Ritz
Kids Room.
The Ritz Kids is offered daily with full-day programs scheduled
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $15 per child, including lunch. Half-day
programs are 9 a.m. to 12 noon or 1 to 4 p.m. and are complimentary
for hotel guests.
Kids Night Out is offered once a week, from 5 p.m. to 9
p.m. Children enjoy games, activities, dinner, movie and
popcorn for $20 per child.

CAMP WAILEA PLAY AREA
Wailea, Maui(2000) - The Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort's
culturally inspired children's program is a "must do"
for the resort's youngest guests.
Available for children ages 5-12, Camp Wailea is an exclusive
program for hotel guests and is offered six days a week,
from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. (For children under the age of
5, the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort offers baby-sitting
services through the concierge.)
Led by certified counselors, the program is designed to
introduce children to the many special attributes of the
islands with hands-on encounters and an introduction to
a variety of native customs.
Activities include:
- nature hikes
- island crafts
- hula lessons
- coral reef tours
- whale watching in season
Each day, campers meet at Camp Wailea's designated play
area located just behind the Maui Onion restaurant. This
sandy play area acts as the designated meeting and activity
space for Camp Wailea participants.
Fenced for added safety, the activity area has been specially
designed to include picnic tables, equipment storage, indigenous
Hawaiian plants, a Hawaiian vegetable garden and other fun
island features.
Daily cost of the program is $35.00 per child and includes
lunch at the poolside Maui Onion Restaurant.
In addition to Camp Wailea, the family friendly Renaissance
Wailea Beach Resort offers an array of services and activities
for children and their parents including a free video library
with many favorite children's films and a selection of games,
from ping pong to backgammon, at poolside.
With one of Maui's finest beaches just steps away, water
sports for all ages can be arranged easily through the on-site
Activities Center, Ultra Dive Inc.
Among the activities available are snorkeling, surfing,
kayaking and scuba diving.
Convenient to the resort are some of Maui's most spectacular
mountains, tropical valleys and rainforest -- ideal places
for families to explore on horseback rides, bike tours or

itinerary each day so children have varied experiences during

relay races, tennis, fishing, snorkeling, and trips to the
Whale Museum at Whalers Village and to Lahaina town with
a ride on Atlantis Submarines.
Keiki Kamp, The Westin Maui, Kaanapali: Ages 5-12, 9:00
a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Westin Mauis Keiki Kamp includes lunch,
tee shirt, and activities such as a wildlife tour, sand
castle building and learning the Hawaiian language. An evening
program is also available, offering games, movies, karaoke
and storytelling.
Keiki O Ka Aina, Royal Lahaina Resort, Kaanapali: Ages
5-12. June 30-August 31. The Keiki O Ka Aina program features
special daily activities for children, including Hawaiian
crafts, games and excursions.
The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, Kaanapali. Ages 5-12. June
10-August 30, Easter week and two weeks at Christmas. The
Ohana Program includes water and beach activities, field
trips to Lahaina, and Hawaiian arts and crafts.
Kalo Patch Kids, Kaanapali Beach Hotel, Kaanapali: Ages
5-12. Available seasonally. The Kalo (Taro) Patch Kids program
includes educational marine excursions, Hawaiian language
classes and games.
Beach Buddies, Embassy Suites, Kaanapali: Ages 4-10. 8:30
a.m.-2:30 p.m. Beach Buddies learn counting in Hawaiian,
coconut decorating and leaf painting, and take nature walks.

day of the week. There is a miniature golf course on the
roof at Embassy Suites Kaanapali.
Ritz Kids, Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua: Ages 5-12. Ritz Kids
offers full and half-day adult-supervised programs. Activities
are planned with environmental components of the earth,
sea, and sky in a week of theme days. Amenities include
Ritz Kids membership with international pen pal program,
