Haleiwa, Oahu. Hawaii Fishing Charter
A special breed of angler flocks to this nook of the
world where fishing lore is born. Hawaii sportfishing
is where tales of hour long fights, reel spooling runs,
an angry marlin majestically leaping to shake a lure
are legend. Selecting an experienced crew is crucial.
If you are going fishing in Oahu and want to land a
big Blue Marlin, the Hawaii fishing charter Kuuloa Kai,
is the experienced well seasoned crew you need.
Skipjack Tuna abound in the
waters off Haleiwa, Hawaii. The sea mounts attract and
keep them. Blue Marlin, Stripped Marlin, and Sailfish
all love to feast on Skipjack Tuna. When these Billfish
schools arrive in Hawaiian waters to fatten during their
pelagic migrations, Oahu big game sport fishing is pole
busting.

Oahu, Hawaii's world famous North
Shore is a surfer's paradise. Its best kept secret is
that it is one of Hawaii's hottest big game fishing
locations. Massive schools of big Yellowfin Tuna visit
Haleiwa, Hawaii's North Shore yearly. This annual occurrence
makes it home to Haleiwa, Hawaii's North Shore Hanapa’a
Jackpot Fishing Tournament.

Yellowfin Tuna (Ahi), Dolphin Fish (Mahi-mahi)
and a cooler full of Skipjack Tuna (Aku).
|
|
Hawaii is famous for Ahi, Yellowfin
Tuna. The Hawaiian State record is 356 pounds of muscle.
This is blue water big game fishing at its best. Yellowfin
Tuna, pound for pound, are some of the hardest fighters
ever built. Yellowfin Tuna are true heavy weights bursting
with brute strength. They are a very tough fighting
fish with a fast recovery rate, mixing deep dives with
long fast runs that test angler and tackle.
Close to the top of the ocean's
food chain, Mahi-Mahi, also known as Dolphin Fish and
Ono, called Wahoo elsewhere, are great fun. When Haleiwa,
Hawaii's Mahi-Mahi season is in full swing, multiple
hookups are common.
And lets not forget the plentiful
Skipjack Tuna. Although they are the feeders for all
the big game fish, catching 5 to 20 pounders on light
tackle is a kick in the pants. These torpedos fight
like the best.
